Working parents face several challenges in accessing decent childcare.
This publication, Tackling Childcare: The Business Case for Employer- Supported Childcare, was produced by the International Finance Corporation’s (IFC) Gender Secretariat. It was developed under the overall guidance of Caren Grown (Senior Director, Gender, World Bank Group), Mary Porter Peschka (Director of IFC Advisory Solutions), Milagros Rivas Saiz (Global Head, IFC Cross-Cutting Industry Solutions), and Henriette Kolb (Head, IFC Gender Secretariat).
The core working group of this initiative, led by Carmen Niethammer with the support of Rudaba Zehra Nasir, comprised Bénédicte de la Brière, Michelle Caitlin Davis, Amanda Epstein Devercelli, Gharam Alkastalani Dexter, Tazeen Hasan, Nathalie Ho mann, and Anna Kalashyan. Moreover, the case studies would not have been possible without the support of many IFC colleagues who also accompanied case study visits, including Regiane Aguiar, James Emery, Sammar Essmat, Yasmin Galal, Anne Kabugi, Saki Nakai, Cicek Sahin, and Roshika Singh.
